concept overview
Distant Memory focuses on the future through an eco-feminist lens. A futuristic spin on traditional craft, eco-dyeing, and daring, body-revealing styles reinforce these ideas. Muted tones, natural fibres, hand-dyed fabric and freeform crochet embrace the organic.
This collection seeks to combine our modern, technologically based society with our natural roots living in harmony with the Earth through the fantasy of a future radical utopia. It is an optimistic view of what is to come, while keeping in mind what has been left behind.

a branch of feminism and political ideology that sees a connection between the exploitation and degradation of the natural world and the subordination and oppression of all marginalized groups.
